Electric mirror motor mare
Electric mirror motor mare
Being a numpty I broke my electric mirror motor and have been able to bodge together a replacement based on a 440 motor unit with a few bits swapped over but the glass doesn't go back into its surround as much as it used to and it seems to be a bit prone to falling out, although it is saved by the wires each time!! The ultra-perfect solution would be if it was possible to remove the hollow rivets which the little screws go through inside the circular double-motor units, then I think I could do a better job!! Does anyone know if you can drill or tap them out?? Are the glued or melted in?? Would getting them out be destructive??

Re: Electric mirror motor mare
Hey man, I've cracked it - they push out with a screwdriver and then the plastic clamp on top of the motors can be popped out. Think I can replace the little plastic racks now. Evilness abounds.
