It's my first post on this forum so please forgive if this question was already answered - just couldn't find it.

I have just got Volvo 340 Vario - so far was able to sort pretty much all of the problems with the car - touch wood

Anyway, the relay for the front screen wipers is dead and I can't find one here in Poland. Do you know if there is any equivalent relay somewhere on the market - I was told the one from rear wiper from old Golf may be the one.

It has 4 contact points.

It might be an idea to put the year/model of the Vario in the signature part of your profile.

Up to Model Year 1979 - no wiper/washer relay.

From Model Year 1980 (343 CH 45800--->, 345 CH 453000--->) to Model Year 1983 (CH <---810500) Volvo 3279265
4-pin relay with intermittent switch.
(12V Hella 5WF 002 540-06 / 5WF 002 540-07)

From Model Year 1984 (CH 810501--->) Volvo 3201724

6-pin relay with intermittent switch. Can be substituted with VW relay ("99" or "197") with programmable intermittent timer. More info:

From the information you have given, I assume it is a MY80-MY83 car you have?

Maybe a red Ford "68 125" 4-pin? www.ebay.de/itm/181602792928 "rot Wisch Intervall Steuergerät". (Beware there are other "68 125" relays.)
