Hello everyone, I prep for the car i have brought and alarm and immobiliser. i want to immobilise the ignition coil, so from the wiring diagram from the green books, i have found that it is (i think) either the green or black wire depending if i have electronic ignition or not, The year of the car is 1988 but i cant for the life of me remember if she has electronic ignition (the book say that she should).
I am trying to avoid any wires being cut near the key barrel, ie making it hard for them lol!
Could i have a bit of guidance on which wire i should cut so the alarm can immobilise should it need to?
Thank you
Ben
Which wire
Re: Which wire
1988 would have electronic ignition, You should have the integrated coil+computer module in the engine bay (renix unit).

Re: Which wire
Ok cool, so i'll look for the black wire to cut so then there should be no spark to the plugs.Ride_on wrote:1988 would have electronic ignition, You should have the integrated coil+computer module in the engine bay (renix unit).
