Chrome trims

Post by benji1985 » 16 Feb 2016 04:27 pm

Hello all, just a quick question.
Car = 1988 340 GL CVT
As it stands atm i have one rear door with black window trim instead of chrome, i have a donor door with the chrome. How hard is it to remove the chrome trim and transpose it to the door with the black trim.

Plus the boot lid is also black trim, so will need to look out for a bootlid chrome trim, or a replacement boot lid as there is some surface rust.

Thank you

Ben

I keep thinking I'll try this one day...

... but I never get round to it. I will deffo give it a try on my 360 to see if it spruces-up the hatch and roof trims. It does look incredibly glossy when you see it on cars that people have customised, so it may look a bit out of place on my wreck!!

Sorry sir, I have never tried it but, for the window frame trim, I remember seeing a post on here where someone said you have to remove the corner piece first. I can search on here this eevers but you will probably get there first...
