Hi, 1986 340 GL 1.7.
I cannot find a "How to" topic on removing the front wings to rustproof.Perhaps there isn't one
Please can someone who has done the job answer the following questions for me?
(a) Are they just bolted on or am I likely to find spot welds ?
(b) Are there any areas that are difficult to seperate due to sealer ?
(c) Any other tips that might help ?
Thank you in anticipation of your kind help.
John.

Re: Removing front wings. How to ?
Hello
Everything unbolts and the front is well-gummed on with Dum Dum. You will need a thin (1/4") wobble bars to unbolt them at the back. That's 'bart'it'f'nar so good luck...
Ttfn, bogs.

Re: Removing front wings. How to ?
Like Bogbasic said, they are bolted on the top (open the bonnet and you can see the bolts.
They are bolted under the arch lip to the inner arch.
Open the front door and you can see two or three bolts in the gap between the door and the wing.
You will probably find rust on the inner arch so be prepared.

Hello,
Thanks for your very quick response.Very helpful information.
Better get my wobble bar out and get down to work!
Google Translate gave up on your last line.
Fortunately I was dragged up in the "Potteries" so it made good sense.
Thanks again .
