Sound deadening

Post by benji1985 » 30 Oct 2016 06:20 pm

Hello all, I have removed the matting stuff from the roof as it was falling apart, I need to replace this with a modern equivalent. Can someone one please give me some advice.
Thank you

Ben

Its hard to know an equivalent, I didn't replace the roof stuff.

This supplier offers traditional materials

Or you can go for self-adhesive closed cell foam. Use up the space and go for same thickness.

I've no idea on comparative levels. The 300s where much less well insulated than the 940, and my 360 is very noisey. I'd just say I am unsatisfied with my sound levels post restoration.

There is alot of snake oil and branding in the soundproofing market so don't get sucked in. The original stuff mostly works well. Its mainly combinations of soft material and heavy material.

In that case you will have to upgrade from the 1.4 to carry the extra weight around
