Where does this go?

Post by bogbasic » 21 Mar 2018 11:12 pm

I have one or two of these left by the welder in the boot of the 3-door. I do not know what it is or where it goes.

I believe it's something to do with the airflow at the front of the car?

I finally found it goes next to the headlight beside the radiator.

I found where it should go in the end! What I don't really understand is that it wanted to go on differently on the red 1.7 compared to the blue one.

Aaaagghhh. I've got an idea now that the two panels were put back on the wrong sides of the car. Blame the welders - it really was them, honest!!

[Edit] That really is cobblers cos I've just found another piccy showing the other side of the blue 1.7, so it deffo is wrong! I just couldn't be bothered to undo the radiator trim panel to check while I was at the car, especially as the blue 1.7 is working well, touch wood.

Hhhhh. Hmmm. None of this ever happened, right? I even put in some new trim clips to replace the originals lost by said welders!! They've gotta come out now, sob.

OK, so it will be sorted tomorrow, as ever, barring disasters ;-0 ;-0

Nice one, top one, sorted. Got them off, cleaned-up a bit and put back on proper, like.
