Hello There! I can't get the dash lights, rear lights, number plate lights and the front side lights to operate on my 1990 340 LE.
(I have all the other lights, main beam, fog, reversing and indicator/hazard) and I've tried fitting a replacement switch and dashboard lights dimmer switch so that's the limit of my knowledge!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what is causing the lights not to switch on??

Thank you for any help :340:

Have you checked the fuses? It might also be a relay. I would have a look at the thread below and the links therein and just keep testing everything. The relays are on the steering column, so you could try swapping a few around and see what happens to narrow it down to the faulty one, or you might be able to make out which one to change from the wire colours and a wiring diagram in the Haynes manual.

The relays (Wehrle 20 210 006) look like this when they're hanging loose.

If things get really weird you can try cleaning the connections on the back of the fusebox but its a bit of a pig to remove.

:D Stripped the dash apart, Gave myself a black eye when I head butted the steering column after I dropped a screw, checked all the relays and guess what a quick wiggle of the connectors on the back of the fuse box and problem sorted.
