I have the VDO part number for the exact OE Volvo pressure sensor, if that subject ever comes up again. They're readily available at about £38.

cheers

At some point I will take the sump off and take it down an engineering shop I reckon, but I will choose myself where I want it to go beforehand by measuring the clearances. Out of interest what do you think is the max height it could be off the bottom of the sump for it to get an accurate reading?

Don't wanna do it myself, cock it up and be left with a leaky sump, or worse a big hole with nothing to plug it ;) Plus I havent got a decent drill anyway.

The boss I've got doesn't look like brass. Maybe it is ally, I'm not really sure I'm no good at identifying metals.

The sump on a 360 holds 4 litres, so you've got a reasonable depth to play with...50+mm maybe?

cheers
