I actually wouldn't bother... most 'newer' seats are firmer and thus in my opinion not as comfy! Certainly the ones in my S70, S40 or 940 weren't as good.

yeah i did think of keeping the seats but retrimming them but i was quoted 350-450 to just do the front of the seats and not the backs, which would be more than i paid for the complete car.the i think its the lumbar support handle thingy :) (forgot whats it actually is) has snapped of completely do you know how to repair this or would it be worth paying to get it done?

No, buckets are very comfortable, they make you sit upright constantly which is the correct position. I've got a bad back and buckets would be great for racing. Long journeys and getting in and out is the main problem imo. Other people may disagree though.

Specially if you have an arse the size of a Volkswagen and a belly the size of a Daewoo Matiz.
Nearly had a heart attack trying to struggle out of a me mates Mx5 buckets. Took about seventeen minutes and the help of a passing AA man.
Theyre worse than beanbags. :D

Totally should of got a vid of that.

Lmao don't worry dude i'm in a similar position to you with regards to "size" lol!

Although in saying that i had buckets in my 16V 340 and didn't find it much of a hassle, worst case scenario because the lumbar supports are solid, if needed be you just push against them.

Do admit though long journeys were sometimes a bit of a killer but then, that's not the buckets fault but more mine for not being used to the correct seating position so I spose it was doing me some good tbf.

The lumbar support often breaks at the frame. Needs to have the back pulled up and re-welded.
