Evening all,
I'm looking to replace the old radio in my DL with an aftermarket one, but am unsure as to how to remove the old one
I don't want to force anything, in fear of breaking it, so does anyone know how it comes out? Also, is a newer radio a straight swap, or do I need a different mounting plate?
Thanks, Malc.

But seriously, it should just pull out but the hard part with radios is getting hold of them without killing them. you should be able to slide some sort of untensils down the sides and pry it out. Looks like you have the same plastic surround as mine, and I had to relieve mine slightly with a file to fit the outer cage part of the modern CD head unit.

The 2 stripes (about 5mm wide) on each side pull off, then insert some coathanger tools in the handly exposed slots!
