more power for skidding!

hi, what can i do? i mean what engines can i fit in which arent too tricky? its a 1.7 340.......lowered, locked diff etc....

common one is clio valver lump but that can get expensive when it comes to tuning it!

i have access to my mates workshop so got tools, welder.......etc

any ideas would be great ta :340:

Well my idea is to try out a williams clio lump but I'm not 100% yet. It appears to be simpler than 16v as well as cheaper to insure.

Yeah, Williams is just 200cc bigger than your run of the mill 1.8 16v engine.
It's the same swap though.

yea dont fancy going down the road of valver lumps! girlfriend had a valver clio, ended up spending silly money on cams, verniers, re map etc.......

The 400 series 2ltr 8 valve lump is the mega easy swap. It does all just bolt in with no real modding required.

If you are starting with a 1.4 then you will need the 1.7 bits

What engine options are there which would require the 1.4 stuff if any? apart from the r5 turbo.

Does the 400 2l have the same loom as the 1.7? Isn't it essentially the same as the 360 engine though? If not, does it have moar powaz?
