I think it is not possible, maybe there are some used ones available, but there are no place that would sell new ones, except if you get them custom made which of course is going to be rather expensive. Classicswede might have some product to do the job, check his performance parts catalog from offers section.
Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
360s have always had only 2 mounts AFAIK. At some point (could be 85) they changed from rubber to glycol types and also did away with the front engine damper (shock absorber). The diff+gearbox is rigidly connected to the engine and the diff is attached to the body at the back through rubber mounts.
340s have 4 engine mounts as the engine is not rigidly connected to the gearbox and diif (which also have 4 mounts), they have to sit on their own.

Yes, later version had those stupid hydraulic, glycol filled, 2003 price was 120 at Volvo, I thought that too expensive and did not get them, how I regret that today when those are not available at all, also very difficult to make as engine hangs from the mount instead of being supported by the mounts.Ride_on wrote:360s have always had only 2 mounts AFAIK. There are moves being made by the Volvo300 Club in Holland to get some reproductions made:

We should change to sit on types like the 940. The turbo guys have to do this anyway, but only on the RHS, maybe we can get some standard solution.
Although I guess if you are restoring you need the proper jobs.

Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
i haven't got a redblocked car myself and that is the only thing stopping me from doing something about this on a short period of time, designing / fabricating a new set of mounts with a universal rubber isn't that hard if you do it the right way!
Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
Please buy a 360

1985 - Volvo 360 GLS
2008 - Volvo S60 SE Lux

Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
But engine can't be hanging from rubber mounts, it would be lot easier when mounts would be supporting engine, but with this new type it is not the case. Solution is to fill current mounts with some rubber kind of stuff, but it is not the same of course as original ones, there will be bit more vibration, however it will be more sportier feel or closer to typical rubber mounts.volvodspec wrote:i haven't got a redblocked car myself and that is the only thing stopping me from doing something about this on a short period of time, designing / fabricating a new set of mounts with a universal rubber isn't that hard if you do it the right way!
Have to do mine too quite soon, oilpan is already resting to bar that is at front of engine.

Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
yep, my new engine mount plan involves brackets for engine and car to make the dampers supporting instead of hanging.
a normal rubber mount can be used then instead of a fancy hydraulic one

Re: Engine Mounts Volvo 360GLT 1985
That would be best solution, then it would be easy to get mounts, for example 240 diesel has such rubber mounts, I actually have one somewhere as I was planning to replace that to my 240, however job is not so easy on that one, too much stuff on way so mount is sitting on shelfvolvodspec wrote:yep, my new engine mount plan involves brackets for engine and car to make the dampers supporting instead of hanging.
