what does the spark plug gap need to be on a 340 1.7?
also, can bigger (more powerful) ignition coils be used? i have one off a t5 laying around that i could fit. also, i did read somewhere if larger ignition coils are used that the plug gap can be made larger, giving a bigger spark, hence better burning of the mixture.
anyone know if this is the case?

Re: Spark plug gap
yes the gap is 0.8mm as i had to put some sparkys in yesterday
and also what you said about the bigger coil i beleive to be true as i was talking my manager in work and he is a very big petrol head and he does motorbike racing and thats what he was saying that a better coil prodcing a stronger current will produce a bigger spark which in terms allows the combustion in the chamber to happen more efficently
hope that helps
