So I get no fuel pumping out at my rail (I disconnected it, and nothing came out whilst cranking), I even tested the voltage at the pump, and it was 0v. So I ordered a fuel relay, in the meantime I decided to do a test, I opened up the old relay, stuck a bit of plastic behind the switch part, to make it always make contact, and no fuel would come out of the hose.
The old fuel relay is 0280230005 on my 1986 australian 360glt with b200e. The car cranks fine, and the spark is really strong. The strange thing was, with the fuel rail (on the input side) disconnected, it'd start for a few revolutions if I'd let the car sit for a few hours, over and over again. So I removed the line on the regulator side, and it seems that it was holding pressure, and I think it was even seeping into the engine. It no longer does even this now.
So I suppose my question is, other than the fuses behind the battery, what else does the power go through? If I wanted to just re-run the cables myself, is there anything I'd need to keep in mind?
fuel problem
Re: fuel problem
Please keep in mind that many mysterious electrical problems are caused by the connections on the back of the fusebox. Removal means lying in the driver's footwell which is a bit of a pain, but not too bad!

Re: fuel problem
interesting , I thought it only went through the fuses behind the battery. I'm trying to look for instructions with no luck, I suppose I'll just contort. Should removing, and putting the connectors back on and wiggling (to scratch free a clear connection) do the trick?
Re: fuel problem
Hello again, there must be a major difference between your car and mine - I haven't got a GLT so I don't know the layout of the injection cars. Better to clean the contacts rather than just wiggle them.

Re: fuel problem
The injection cars have the jetronic safety relay then the fuse box to power the pump. Not sure which one is first.
The relay needs pulses fom the ignition (from the crank senspr) to run.
Are you getting power to the relay?

Re: fuel problem
Try a different crank sensor. I also find a bit of 200grit rubbed on the sensor point helps for a little bit.
