I recently aquired a K-cam from SteveP (thanks), and am about to install it in my 360, I was wondering if I would need stronger valve springs or any other uprated parts. Also, is there anything else people would suggest changing whilst I am under there.
Can I take any parts I might need from other volvo's?
Any help is appreciated.

Standard parts will be fine. But while you are changing the cam replace cambelt and tensioner. Because with K-Cam you'll end up with bent valves if belt snaps.

I'd be interested to see how this works out. Conventional wisdom says that the standard engine management can't cope with changing hardware...so I'll be interested to see if yours behaves itself.
Oh...and the K really isn't that hot. It's a 270 degree duration cam, which isn't that wild. I get (got...I need to re-tune the carbs) 95% of peak torque from 2250rpm. As the others have said, standard valvetrain will be fine.
If the fuel system can deliver the goods, you'll love the cam!
cheers

I also have quite a few other bits to go on aswell!
All will be revealed eventually when I get around to putting it all on, I have a completely different system lined up for the fueling side of things, but its going to take a while to build up some funds

Sounds like you have it in hand...cool
Tell me about the shortage of money situation

The 343 build still requires suspension goodies, exhaust, bodywork & paint.
cheers

I have wheels, dampers, springs, blocks, cam, inlet manifold, roller barrel throttle bodies, injectors, management system, fuel pump, a very pretty rocker cover and a bunch of gaskets to go on, I just need some top mounts, time and a few more pennies and I can start putting it all on.
It is so frustrating seeing it all sat in the garage!

Are these the correct volvo parts codes for the belt and tensioner or are they aftermarket ones?
Belt:- 271713
Tensioner:- 463633
I would prefer the OEM ones if anyone knows them.
Cheers.

Yes, those are the correct numbers. I have a brand new genuine Volvo belt, if you want it for cheap.
cheers

Absolutely change the belt for sure!
In the 245 I went from D cam to K cam and it picked up quite a bit of grunt but moved it up the revs a bit.
It starts to jump at 2500 and pulls until about 4500-5000 then starts to taper off.
I got to drive a 242GT with teh H cam and it pulls much higher but has less down low.
Fun to drive, but I seemed to be having too much fun in 3rd gear to spend much time in 4th....
Volvos rock!
