360 2.0i CLUTCH???
bit confused on clutchs, are 340 and 360 clutchs the same? i ssen clutch kit on ebay from £30 upto £110 will the £30 clutch do?
i do think the clutch is dead biting point is VERY high and if i try to drift in the dry after popping up from a clutch kick it revs the the revs drop and it just bogs down and loses all power

Mine does this sometimes. When I bought it 3000kms ago, I was convinced it was totally knackered...... hasnt seem to have gotten worse in the meantime though.i do think the clutch is dead biting point is VERY high and if i try to drift in the dry after popping up from a clutch kick it revs the the revs drop and it just bogs down and loses all power
Mind u, I thought those lumpy changes was due to the Rear gearbox setup - someone told me once it was all due to the torquetube.....dunno how true that is.......

There is two ways to do it, one is to remove engine, another is to remove driveline.EVERY TIME I DIE wrote:engine aint gotta come out has it?? thought u just unbolt rear sub and remove box
Well, kind of removing driveline( clutch bellhousing, torque tube, gearbox, differential), you just need to get it to move enough backwards to get shaft out from clutch so that it will drop downwards and then you can access to clutch.
Remember, gearbox is at rear axle end in these cars and in 360 there is metal tube that goes from clutch bellhousing to gearbox.
Replacing clutch is much more work than for some other RWD car.
I believe in garage they do it 4 to 6 hours, depending a bit how swift they are and if they have done it before and so on.
Either the engine or the gearbox + torquetube. I personally would take the engine out because it is much simpler and quicker. I have once taken out the entire driveline and it took quite a while. And it's not a job for a person who gets irritated easily.EVERY TIME I DIE wrote:engine aint gotta come out has it?? thought u just unbolt rear sub and remove box
Clucth change in a rwd car with front mounted gearbox it's much simple and more logical than in 360. Ie. Me and my friend changed a gearbox of my 740 Turbo. It took three hours to unmount the box and put new in and to get the car going again. In a 360 dream on sunshine...

What is problem with your computer and PDF ?
Do you have some kind of block in firewall or it just won't let you choose to save it and then it can't open the file?
You can always right click link for PDF and choose save target as, and if you need program to view PDF you can get adobe acrobat reader from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
I believe everyone's computer should be able to open PDF nowdays as it is quite big disadvantage if it won't. Also I'm sure whatever problem is we can work it out and make that damn machine to obey, those haven't taken over control .... yet

If PDFs won't work for some strange reason here's a topic where mac has described the whole clutch change operation, pics included.
