Washer and thread sizes

Post by Fuse » 11 Mar 2009 12:43 pm

Stupid question, but what are the washer and thread sizes for the gearbox and diff fill/drain plugs because the local parts shop almost always sells the wrong size..

Not a stupid question at all... I'd like to ask the same question about the CVT (primary x2 + secondary x2) plugs and washers, because the local parts shop doesn't know anything about them, but would probably know what to sell if I had the sizes... ;)

No one really knows? Of course I can measure them myself also but I'm going to change the oils and I wouldn't want to drain the oils before just to measure the washers as I am changing the oils at this DIY-carage.

sump plug is M18x1,5

CVT drain plug on primary box is the same, i believe.
don't remember what the drain plug thread size is on the secondary box...

for the washers it is best to buy an assortment box. that way you always have the correct size at hand.
