Re: Engine Question (9-series)
Definitely do the actuator...it's rude not to
Honestly, it's so simple, and makes quite a big difference.
Look for any "FT" engine with a Mitsubishi TD04-13C turbo...B200 or B230.
cheers
James

Re: Engine Question (9-series)
@foggyjames: if its a TD04 turbo I'm looking for, couldn't I also try getting a standard Impreza WRX actuator, as they have a TD04 standard VS the Evolution with a TD05..?
Re: Engine Question (9-series)
I'm picking up -95 940, 2.3T (8v) on Saturday..
Got "spare" manifold with T3 to go on, bigger IC, 3" dwn pipe and side exit..DONE!!

Re: Engine Question (9-series)
As long as the Scoob's actuator mounts in the same way, that'd work fine. Do they not have ECU / solenoid controlled boost? Normally, those setups use a really weak actuator...

Re: Engine Question (9-series)
I suspected as much. Surely Volvo HPT actuators for a 13c aren't that rare...?

PM on the way...xtrmjks wrote:If You need actuator, PM me!!
btw I assume its an actuator for a higher PSI boost, will the ECU from the B230FK compensate for the higher boost, or will it run like crap?!?!

Re: Engine Question (9-series)
You should be ok up to 10, maybe 12psi. Beyond that you need to look at chips, bigger injectors, raising the fuel pressure, etc. There's plenty of info on Turbobricks.

Re: Engine Question (9-series)
My housemate had a couple of used MBCs...I'm sure at least one will be for sale.
I don't have a line on an actuator right at the moment.
cheers
