G,day
i have been talking to a few people i know with volvos and the topic keeps coming up that i should change my wiring harness to a 240 harness im just wondering if anyone one has done in and if so what where your results? also i have heard mention of people using R1 carbs and i am really leaning towards giving it ago. Just wondering if anyone has done it or is doing it now?
also while im at it has anyone flushed off the bump on the top of the pistons?
Cheers

I would asume that they are on about fitting 240 ingnition to do away with the renix unit. To do that you will need a dizzy from a 240 with k jet compete with wiring and the ignition modul (located behind the batrie on the inner wing)
Normaly it is only worth doing that if something has gone wrong with the renix system.
R1 carbs no experiance personaly with them. On the 360 I would say webbers are probably the better bet.

I think in the past the 240 injection system was discussed when converting a 360 to Bosch LH2.4 and combining it with 940 turbo ecu's.

cheers
ill keep you informed about the 240 harness. Why would Webbers run better than the R1 carbies? (or is it just because no ones using the R1 carbies much) I would love to talk to someone who is running R1 carbies if there is! Has anyone tried putting and Alfa 75 Lsd in the back of a 360?

Renix is fine with carbs. Not much point in putting alfa 75 transaxle in a 340, they're no stronger.

I believe Quaife will give you one for £550, other than that it's a custom fabrication job to fit one from another car.
