hmm you might be right, I have a vague recollection the 85 GLS was chrome + B200K. In fact the 86 brochure shows a silvery cap (dull not chrome) on a B200K+E.SteveP wrote:Have to say I disagree with this.... not all B200's were fitted with a chrome oil filler cap and of the high comp B200's I've seen all of them had a chrome oil filler cap. I'd be surprised if all of these examples had the wrong cap by coincidence???Ride_on wrote:It is not signified by the oil cap (B19=chrome, B200=Black plastic)

Mine is 414A and according to manual and other specs is high compression B200K in 1988 360GL.
My car will not run with 95 octane, there will be sand/stone in a metal bucket on harder acceleration if I try that, but 98 octane is bit hard to come by now here, not all stations sell it.
Also my car has none any of emission control systems, just exhaust pipe, there is crankcase ventilation to top of carb, but nothing else, probably one of the last cars without egr, cat or similar.
Different market, so I guess they put bit different cars together.
There were some late versions of 340 with 1.3 litre motor too, I think those are rather oddballs and quite rare really, but I have seen them on sale here.
Also there was that one odd 240 with some tiny motor for African market, was it something like 1.6 litre motor? Even 2.0 which here is most common, is quite small for 240.
In italy they got all the fun motors, like 2.0 16 valve unit, that had quite good hp rating too, they should have put those into 360 GLT
