Changing Exhaust manifold

Post by Grendel » 14 Apr 2005 12:14 pm

Hi just wandering how difficult it would be to change the exhaust manifold for my 340 1.4 on my own. I presume its just a case of removing the air filter to give me more room then unbolting from engine block and down pipes then yanking it out sm23 then sliding in the newer one and then bolting back in place? Also would I then have to get the engine retuned after? sm48

Removal and replacement of the manifold is a easy 1 man job.

As for having to re-tune it afterwards, this is not normally required unless the carb has been fiddled with, best to see how it runs afterwards and then see if it requires tuning in. 8)
