Get them to make one with 45 deg ramp angles instead of 30-35 as it will take more 'push' to make it lock. My bmw got 35deg and I've literally got to fart and it'll go sideways, but remaining in control (theoretically). Is this a 360 only or both?

When I asked Quaiffe, there was a minimum order of 10. Gripper, on the other hand, would do a one-off, and were cheaper anyway.

cheers

These are both 'one off' quotes:

Gripper - Hello Thomas, no this not an Lsd that we have made, if you wish us to make one we would need an original diff unit and the cost for a 1 off is £1100.00 with delivery 10/12 weeks. Any questions please ask.

Quaife - Hello, In the region of about £2,500.00 GBP + VAT.

       I'll give it a miss me thinks. Its cheaper to convert the car to independant rear end with the gearbox up the front than spend that much on an lsd

That's gone up a lot since I last asked Gripper. They've had a change of management in the meantime...that might explain it, I guess?

There is bound to be something off the shelf which is about the right size if we look hard enough. A while ago someone mentioned Evo back ends...? Anything RWD is likely to be too large.

cheers

Ok so i gave Gripper Differentials a call and got chatting

price for a one of is £1,100

but price for a batch of 5 is £650 each

and to be honest for a custom made diff that's not to bad i would pay £650 for one maybe even get 2

i don't know much about group buys and i have never been involved in one but if some one more experienced want to start one up i will be the first to put my name down

Not sure there is enough money knocking about the forum, 300's are about low cost really. I would consider some day, but too much for me now. Maybe once I get my project finished and break my diff :-)
