360 ignition timing

can anyone tell me what degrees btdc the ignition timing needs to be on a 360 gle with injection its on an a reg if that makes any difference cheers

Don't know what A reg means, but year may make a difference. In later cars it is entirely controlled by the renix unit, using the flywheel sensor, very accurate, very reliable and no adjustment whatsoever.

Presumably you mean at idle, Haynes says 12 deg for B200E, 15 for B200K not sure if that covers all years. They do tend to mess about with advance at higher power over the years as fuel octane came down.

cheers dude my car is a 1983, its got the multi point injection system on it with no flywheel sensor but it has an adjustable distributor on the right hand side of the block not sure on on what engine code it is but i can have a play with it now i have some figures. thanks again

That is B19E then I guess, I consider it being the best of 2ltr motors, but then that is me :lol:

Have you checked technical documents section on this site? I think that information is in engine document there, but can't remember timing off from my head though :)
