B19 To B200

Post by Jak » 23 Dec 2012 09:57 pm

So i wrote my b19 off last night, pretty sure i bent a conrod and cracked the head, when hit a large pond(puddle). going to fit my b200 engine but i noticed that the renix set-up is different, can i move the dizzy from the b19 to the b200 will that still work and will i need to change the b19 ecu to the b200 ecu? and would i need to change the renix to my b200 setup or can i use the b19 setup.

cheers Jack

The B19 does the timing in the dizzy using a magnetic wheel and pickup. The B200 uses a pickup on the flywheel, and has no adjustment, any old dizzy will do, its adjustment is not critical but needs to be roughly in the right place to get the right cylinder selection.

The B200 is more advanced, accurate and computerised, but not tunable. If you are not modifying then stick with the B200 system.
