Right..
I brought an Omex limiter a while ago to connect to the F7P Engine, I joined it in to the correct wires coming out of the coil, but it didn't work, i sent it back and it wasn't till after i read this:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 13&t=14406
It mentions on here about taking the coil apart and soldering it directly to terminals inside
but before i waste money on another one or break the coil, thought id check and make sure it will actually work?
Thanks

That looks nuts! could you explain how to wire it up a littler clearer than that link i posted ?
don't wanna go taking it apart and wiring it wrong haha

Re: Omex Rev Limmiter... F7P
"you take the coil of the renix (it's held on with 2 TX20 bolts) and then you solder 2 wires to the bottom of the coil clips for + and - of the coil. (I understand up to here) haha
the omex itself only needs a 15+ switched power and a ground. you can use the blue/red wire normally used for the idle solenoid for the positive if it hasn't been cut away"

what does the red a purple wire go to ? in comparison to these wires

Im confusing myself here

Re: Omex Rev Limmiter... F7P
i just used random colors
apparently i was wrong with the 15+ feed thing, as the thing doesn't need one
here's the pdf with wiring diagram:

I wired mine up as follows:
black - Ground
red - Coil + (if you're using renix lift the coil out and it might say which pin is which
blue - coil -
It works with the wires just pushed in then the coil bolted down too but I'd solder it
works lovely with a straight through pipe

To think... 5 years ago we were all trying to work out which Renix units had limiters built in so we could get the correct map without the limiter...
