Radiator problem !!!

Post by Rubenv340 » 04 Mar 2013 09:36 pm

Hi fellas,

Yesterday i started disasembling parts to make valve clearance adjustments, and i also removed the expansion tank of the radiator to give it a wash, but when removing the hose (tryin hard), i managed to broke 1 piece of the radiator lol xD Don't ask me...
The hose that delives the water from the expansion tank to the radiator, have a kind of a connector in the radiator, so you attach the hose there. I broke that..
The place is a shit to work :\

Without ideas, i used the return hose (radiator -> expansion tank ) and made it join the expansion tank in the place the original hose was.
Can the cooling liquid circulate normally or it will be strugling?

It's better with pictures, hard to explain.. Really...
IF i seal the hole in the radiator, still don't know how, it will work fine? or i should get a new radiator in the scrapeyard? :\
Nvm the sealer.

Clean the sealant off, take the radiator out (it's not a big job) and take it to a radiator place (you will have them somewhere) with the piece that came off. They will braze/solder it back of for not much.
