Okay so head went the other day, just a few quick questions, firstly what is the maximum the head can be skimmed? And when rebuilding the valve train do you have to do anything specific, such as with the hydraulic followers and any other key point?
Also what is the revised limit for the f7p?

Re: F7P head gasket
Most machine shops should have the data for the maximum a head can be skimmed, as for valve train clean all the valves, ideally the lifters want to be fully submerged in a pot of engine oil so they work all the air out then fit them into teh engine. I would definitely replace all the valve stem oil seals while you are there.
What do you mean by revised limit of the F7P??

Re: F7P head gasket
In here from pg. 19 onwards, F7P and F7R are mostly the same. There is a better quality pdf version of this floating about the internet somewhere.
