Final drive oil is leaking

Post by karoliens » 16 Sep 2013 10:09 pm

Good day I have a leaking final drive (previuosly I made gasket out of gasket paper but don't put any sealant). Is there any way to stop leaking without removing final drive (because it is PITA to do so)? Also is there a way to check oil level or you just need to drain it to know what is left? Thanks.

I think mac can provide a gasket for the diff. The level can be checked by removing the plug in the back plate and dipping it with your finger. It should be up to the level of the plug.
