B16F Engine

Post by Denizk » 01 Oct 2014 07:41 pm

Hello, I'm new here, I hope i can get some information from here. First sorry for my bad english im not so good at it now, hopefully it will be better in the future :D I have some questions about the B16F engine, maybe can you answer some of my questions.
First, Is the B16f build on the heron or partagee? Because i dont know if the B16f is based on the b18u/b20f or the b18 blocks in the 400 series. And my other question is what is the difference with the finnish version of this engine. The B16f in holland must have 83 hp and 125 nm torque, Atleast that stands in the instruction folder, But in the press folder of the 460 there was a b16f noted that it was Finland only and had 94hp and 132nm torque.
I hope i will hear from you guys.
Already thanks

PS; It's about a Volvo 460 1.6 from 95'

The D19d is a heron type head so I would assume the D16 is also like that. I'm sure I had a 1600 Renault engine in for head repair and that was of heron design
