Is this the temp sender?

As per title for a Volvo 360 carby-car, above alternator...

... just curious because I have been having some apparent overheating issues and was wondering if the connection to this device (which seems to disconnect itelf very readily) might be the culprit. Hasn't been too bad since cleaning the connection, but in the past I am sure that this device (whatever it is) has been disconnected for at least half of the time I have driven the car.

That's the oil pressure sender, coolant temperature is on the lh side of the engine under the intake manifold, single yellow wire

Cool beans..... great, that might explain why having it disconnected for so long hasn't set off any alarm lights on the dashboard... OK, I'll have a hunt under the manifold next time.... Cheers, man.
