Hi Guys,
i've disassembled my 1.7 engine and machine shop said that cylinder head needs to be resurfaced.
I know that owner's manual says never to do this, but there are no other cylinder heads around.
Has anyone tried to mill 0.1 mm from the head on b172k and what happened then?
This is against owner's manual but the only other option is to try to fit local f3r injection engine, which i would probably do if i fail with milled head. Or should i skip the milling as being useless and go straight to f3r swap?
Regards, A.

You can do it. Just remove the valves first and a small skim is ok

Hi again, i think i'll ask in this same thread:
I found oversized pistons from renault. On paper, they are the same by all measures except for the gudgeon pin. It's not floating design, but fixed.
What do you think, is it worth to try them?
Regards, Andrew.
