hello! I have a volvo 340 whit a 1.7 renault. and i have a volvo 480 1.7 renault turbo.
can I use the suction manifold and turbo from a Volvo 480 1.7 Turbo in a Volvo 340 1.7 ?
or should I change the engine ?

Change the complete engine
the compression ratios are different between the 2 blocks (or should i say id expect them to be different)
they should be a straight swap, so not too arduous anyway

your best bet by far will be change teh complete engine

also if your fitting into a rhd car you need to modify the exhaust manifold, as the turbo falls right were the brake servo is
it basically needs cutting near each exhaust flange and flipping over then welding back up
but remember to slacken the bolts on the turbine housing and rotate the oil return back to the bottom of the turbo
