vario advice needed

Post by spike4073 » 18 Aug 2015 07:01 pm

ok... ive got my belt tention sorted, replaced vacuum valve with one known to be working, bypassed kickdown switches on master cylinder as this is faulty, bypassed kickdown on throttle cable as my cable isnt original and doesnt have the earth switch bits

my problem is that it still wont change up, when i flip the low hold switch i hear the click from vacuum valve and it sucks strongly on kickdown side but without the switch on it doesnt suck at all from either side and theres no click as i increase revs?

hoping someone on here has some ideas

thanks

never just swap a tacho out on it's own, often it's the diode in the EMV valve that's broken, in some cases this can lead to a direct failure of the end transistor in the tacho even if you fit another one.

get yourself a transistor and diode, replace them together and try again.
