360GLE fueling issues

Post by f1fan111 » 03 Mar 2016 09:26 pm

Hello,

I am having some trouble with my 360GLE, the first problem i experienced is that it would not idle, as soon as the revs dropped below 1000rpm it just died so made driving it interesting. Now i though this maybe a carb problem but today i have another problem that it will not start. I have a inline fuel filter before the fuel pump and when you turn it over barely any fuel is getting into it.

Is there a way to prime the system? or is it worth fitting an electric pump? and could these issues be related?

thanks

You don't need an electric pump, the original design works well. Something is wrong. Do the fuel delivery test in the Haynes manual, then decide which direction to go after that.
