More peak power but less useable power as it will all be top end and they require more maintenance and setting them up properly is harder.

It's for a drift car not a daily so top end power is fine and maintenance too. I want to have the most of my 1,4 because i don't want to swap i'm affraid to break the propshaft with a 16v swap. I will keep my 1,4 for practice and change car when i get more experience.
But a couple of HP more could help
What i've done:
- smaller wheel radius ( 175/50/13) soon i plan to use 165/55/13 on the rear
- fully stripped interior, no heater
- maintenance obviously
- bucket seats
What i've plan to do:
- lowering and stiffening suspension
- PU mounts
- hydro e brake ?
Power upgrade:
- Bike carbs ??
- Cylinder Head Porting & Polishing
- Other idea ???
My goal is to reach at least her factory power (70hp) but a 80-90 would be nice.

I would go with a single weber 45 DCOE for the carb
Do what porting you can that is effectve and a cam upgrade

I already have the mikuni Bike carb. And do not want to invest too much on the 340 just maintenance stuff and "free" upgrade because i do not trust the propshaft. A weber 45 DCOE isn't cheap

I found someone that did it on a c2j so it's almost the same as a B14 4e:
