Volvo 340 1.7 Solex carb problems!
I really need help with my Volvo 340 1.7 only had it a day and already having problems! I believe it’s the Solex carb, everytime I go round a sharp corner it bogs and tries to cut out! I believe it’s because the base of my carb has warped! Can anyone shed some light and help please! I will happily send my carb off for a referb or can anyone recomend what to do! any help appreciated!

Could be the float is too heavy.
How hard are you cornering for this to happen?

There is plenty that can go wrong.
Check for airleaks, places where false air is sucked in,
The base of the carb may be warped.
Is the carb fitted with a greenblock?
Like Dai wrote, check the weight of the float.. it should be 6 gr.
