Apart from a brief run round the village not had a chance for decent pics. I also realise my steering wheel is about 45 degrees off straight (when driving straight ahead)....lol from when I removed it to do the gauge upgrade. Dunno how I got it so off when I put it back, 5 min job to straighten that the next time I'm in the garage...

The gauge cluster does actually fit through the steering wheel at the straight ahead position, but removing it does give you a lot more room!

Looks good bog!

Cheers for that. Never got the cluster to fit through the wheel, but will try again when I tinker with the blue 1.7.

Car's been running OK, but the welded repair to the rear exhaust hanger broke, so limped home with piece of string holding the rear silencer up ;-0

Back to the blue 1.7 for a bit.

The 360 is trying to tell you that you don't need a rear silencer haha.

Too true. They rewelded it but when I drove it back to its garage, guess what, it broke again.

Need to find someone who knows how to weld. Hope the gear lever has been welded better, hmmm....

Sounds a bit of a faff with the welding, hope you have no further bother with the gear linkage!

I've been out a couple of times for a few circuits round the area, got the steering wheel straightened up as best as possible but not 100% suiting my OCD ! One spline movement left or right puts it just off the straight ahead when driving straight ahead (if you know what I mean ! )....
When driving straight the car doesn't pull to one side or the other so I think the geometry seems ok just the wheel position is a degree or two off centre... Would setting the tracking be the best way to sort that ?

Have to say, it fair likes an Italian tune up, its a bit grumpy when cold but once warmed up and holding it in gear longer than needed when zipping around soon has it running sweet.... probably won't be helping I am still using up the stabilised fuel from the winter, a dose of fresh premium is needed...

Cool, good luck with the tracking.

I got the key from the garage and, given that their welding has broken yet again, paid £90 for the world's most expensive O-ring along with some pigeon pooh. I should have told them it had broken again already but couldn't bear the thought of them offering to do more work on it!!

Currently looking for a proper welder. Might be the last time I use that garage, famous last words...

They also broke this bit in their previous efforts:

That part came from dafhobby and it should be held on by 2 bolts but the captive nuts are long gone, so he welded it on. Should be OK, I hope. Cheers, Jon.C.
