All greetings!
Wished to ask one theme.
I wish to change the engine b14 3e for the engine b200e.
Whether difficultly to perform such operation to not interfere in the standard electric system in interior of the car and what to me for this purpose it is necessary? :?:

Shouldnt affect electriacal wiring too much. Just change the engine wiring loom from that of a 360.
The running gear will be the main task though as you will not only need to change the engine but most of the drivetrain.
Cheers Adam

It's probably wiser to buy a 360. Unless the car has sentimental value.

If you want bolt in power go for the 1.7

Is the 1.7 more or less bolt on? I guess you also have to replace the clutch and clutch housing, or is this the same as in a 1.4 ?

Thanks of the Lord for advice! To SIMPLY me this machine is important, and I do not wish it to change for other model. Looked huge quantity of photos from our site where change motors. 1.4 all таки itself have got rid of them does not suffice for driving. And replacement I shall spend next in the image the purchase 360 and all from it I shall rearrange in 340. There where I live difficultly to find spare parts on car analysis for this model.

And 117hp it is better than 65hp. I shall lay out photos of the 340 later and you will understand why I want b200e

Why not go for a 2.0 renault derived engine from the Volvo 400 series, assuming you have them over there?. 110bhp, lighter and less work for conversion.

And what marks at these engines 400? To them I should search much in addition: blocks of management, a wire, gauges. And I do not know as them to put (there is no person in who can evidently explain all)

To me advised to put b172k and 2 horizontal carburettors

0 - 100 7.4 sec

but i need new transmission. m 47

If you can get a complete 1.7 engine and bell housing from a 340 1.7 then it will all bolt in the same.

The you could also combine a 2ltr from a volvo 460 or 480 with the bolt on parts of a 340 1.7 engine.

That would be easy to do.

Thanks for advice on engines. And here in occasion of posting inside of interior. Much it needs to be changed or posting change only in an impellent compartment. I have in view of the block of management of the engine. I do not wish to assort simply instrument panel.

I hope all transmission will approach on length to 340 body. They since 360 one lengths to mine

Why I so in detail ask? Because there is no right to a mistake.

Hi!
Im doing engine conversion too to my 340.Im changing b172k--->b200e and my b172k technic will be left over for me..hint hint
There WILL be a lot of work if you change b200e technic...

Parts which you have to change:
-engine (of course)
-clutch
-kardanaxle
-transmission/rearend
-rearaxle
-brakes in back
-enginerooms electricity
-engine carriers (those which holds engine)
-gastank+pump+lines
-front springs/dampers

So perhaps if dont want to do all that work or if you dont have 360 sparecar i´ll say dont do it :? But if you like doing cars (like i do) i´ll say go for it!!
I have bought spare 360 GLT with b200e and a lot of rust
Also you might have to make holes to engine carriers, 360 transmission/rearend because there wont be holes ready for those,im not 100% sure
well..its up to you

And what about changint to a 1.7 Turbo from a 400 Turbo?

That's what I planning to do in my 340 1.7

Yes, definitely an easier (and better plan). In all honesty the B200E isn't going to be a great deal faster than the B172k, because its a fair bit heavier. If I had a 340 I'd stick to Renault engine conversions because they offer GLT and more performance and are much lighter - ofcourse, you will need to sort out that propshaft with significant changes in power.

However, if you're going to change over to the 360 running gear, might as well drop in a 2.3N/A (or change the injection system on the 2.0) for a bit more performance.

It might be much easier to put 1,7 Turbo to 340 than b200e.
Because i think b172k and 1,7 turbo from 400-series are same engines, except for that turbo
Main engineblocks are same...im 95% sure of that.
same 1,7 engine have been used at least in volvo 400 and renault 19

If you put Volvo-engine(b19,b200k,b200e,b230e,etc..) then you have change about everything in your 340 to similiar as 360.
And..yes Volvo-engine is heavier than renaults but if you like to get more power from Volvo-engine there is only sky as the limit sm89
