My thougths exactly...

But I have another question. For the 87 360 GL, B200K, 4d, 75 kW different manufacturers have different exhausts in their catalogues. For example, Bosal and Walker say the twisted type should be fitted, others (Hexo, pictures posted here and some others) have the straight-through silencer for this car. My problem is, I don't have the original exhaust anymore and some homemade sh!t was fitted when I got the car. It fell right off the other day and I really need to order a new one soon. The funniest thing is, even the Volvo dealer said "Bring the car over here and we'll look what's fitted so we can order a new one as there are different types". How to solve my dilemma? Or am I complicating too much and i should just go with Bosal (it's the cheapest).

thanks

edit: forgot to add, I'd like it to look as original as it can...

Bosal... Mmmmmm... I got my 360 GLi with a Bosal exhaust, what a bad quality compared to a Volvo exhaust... :( You should see that sm58

If you decide to install a Volvo exhaust (silencer), I give you the part number (360 4 doors):

Silencer: 3213329-0

If you need to change the whole exhaust, I will give you the part numbers, always necessary when you go to the Volvo dealer cause sometimes they aren't so smart... (one day a friend received a wrong exhaust, he had to bring it back...)

It appears that the 'geniune article' has a pipe which goes off to the bottom left...but mine goes straight out the back. Both are '360 degree turn' versions. I don't think mine is a Volvo box. When it all fails, I'm treating it to a 3" custom stainless system....hopefully not for a long while yet though, as it'll cost £££!

cheers

I *really* wouldn't bother. You'll need your carb re-jetting to cope with the extra air, and unless you get that done, you'll see no advantage at all, and the car may well lose power under heavy load as it leans out.
