weber carb rebuild

Post by ebdl » 23 Apr 2006 10:54 pm

Got back to Plymouth after my Easter hols to find my NOS carb rebuild kit for the Weber waiting for me. This is the full works and even has a replacement for the black plastic thing with the gaskets either side. If a rebuild with this lot doesn't sort out the motor then I'm giving up and taking her to a garage.

Anyone got any tips for the rebuild?

As you take the smaller assembles off the carb, assemble them on the bench in the correct order, some of the spacers etc are vital and need to be in the correct place. Other than that take your time mate!!!

Hi, I have the factory manual covering the fuel system for the B14/Weber if you are inerested (and don't mind a huge e-mail) I could scan the relevant pages for you.

Any help ??

Regards Mac.
