Hello
I have an oppertunity to get my hands on a 740 turbo. Just wanted to know if the b230ft will drop in my glt 360 and if so will the 2 litre engine go in the 740.
Thanks guys

Yes, mechanically the engine is easy to put in. You need to swap the engine mounts, the oilpan + oilpump (or the oilpump pickup), the distributor (B230FT has it in the end of the cylhead, 300 series VOLVO engines have it in the block), be aware that B230FT has a PLACE for the block dizzy, but no geartooth in the middleshaft in th block for it, so either you swap dizzys AND the middleshaft, or you keep both dizzys, and mod the 300 series fanhousing.
If you are from sweden or finland, fitting a B230FT will get you into troubble with the law (115hp + 20% = 138hp MAX), fit a B230FK (135hp LPT) instead, or mod and get a dynopaper for the modded B230FT.
You also need to mod the exhaust manifold, or the right engine mount to fit the turbo, and other nice things.
