RE: electrics
you can probably get this as a kit anyway, but for those that are currently running a viscous fan, and want electric:
you'll need a rad with a stat hole in it, and a stat. then i used an electric window relay from a BMW (not that it matters) to switch the fan (or you'll just overload your stat, it happened to mine, had to buy a new one.
THEN (clever bit) you get an overrun timer from those door entry systems where they buzz you in with the door lock. these can be set from 3secs to 3 mins, and allow the fan to stay on for a while longer. They run off 12v supplies.
Otherwise, which is currently happening in mine, you get on-off-on-off-on-off with the fans while sitting in traffic. with the over run, it cools slightly more than you need, and doenst have to come back on for a bit longer.
Thats what im doing to mine, eventually, and this timer thing costs about £20 or so. a few quids for the relay. Just a thought, might work out nice and cheap for some people. especially if, like me, you pinched it from where you work
