360 GLE Carb + Boost?

Hi everybody! I'm new here and to Volvos so go easy on me if I say something blatantly stupid :wink: I'm looking into getting hold of a 360 as a track car, with plans to turbo it. I've got a mega squirt ready to go and all the ancillaries needed. What I would like to know is would a standard Volvo 360 GLE Carb take boost? I would like to get the engine up and running whilst I sort out all the other bits and pieces. Any help would be great!

The std carb is not realy going to take boost TBH. IF you are wanting the engine to run while you try and sort the squirt then get the squirt working before fitting the turbo.

+1 to what Dai said. Carb tuning is a ninja skill if you don't have access to all the jets for your make of carb. Should be able to change your inlet mani to an injectorfied one, then change the exhaust mani to a turbo one at a later date.

If you have megasquirt why would you want to use a carb at all, would it not be possible to just swap other to set of throttle bodies which you can then hook up to to a turbo at a later date.
