Anything F series will go in with roughly the same amount of work. So that's 1.8 16v from clio/19, 2.0 16v from clio williams/megane, 1.8 8v turbo from 400 series volvo, and other engines fitted to any of those cars.

The simplist conversion that can be done is to fit the 2ltr 8v from the 400 series. That will all bolt directly in without any modifications.

I'm not that good with the 300 series. But how would a b234f 16v engine fit in a volvo 300 ?

Or just a regular b230f with 16v head?

If u take a 360, its a reasonalby good fit. The head fits under the bonnet. Maybe manifolds will be a problem, and you'll have to use some fiddling with the electrics.
