F7P Oil gauges.

Post by Sliderman » 05 Nov 2009 02:45 am

Just wondering...

I've seen clio oil pressure and temp. gauges for sale as a standard item. Was this only on the williams? If not then does that mean that there's already a sender for gauges and I can just connect up an aftermarket gauge without any extra parts?

Don't know what blocks the senders were on, but I got my senders from a 400, the 480's with info centres have pressure and oil temp as standard, and loads of 400s have oil pressure and voltage.

I've currently got 2 pressure senders in my F7R, as the 400 one fits in a different place

Just after oil pressure and temp.

If I was to get electric rather than mechanical ones can i just wire them in to the senders or do i need to buy senders also?

the williams and the 1.8 16v of all ages all had the 3 oil gauges, the temperature and level are both on one sender/sensor in the front of the block, the pressure is on a seperate sender/sensor in the back of the block up high near the exhaust manifold

mark 1 phase 3 (n-s plate) clio 1.8 8v RSi's also had the three oil dials but i dont know what senders they used as i have no experience of the engines
