No idea,

(but I did discover that on a 1985 V240 DL with a B230A engine (Pierburg carb & Bosch distributor) the original Bosch rotor arm had a spring loaded cut out, so when the arm was spinning past a certain speed, it would short out the rotor and act as a rev limiter. Aftermarket rotor arms were just plain conventional items that did not do this. Possibly a useless fact that has no relation to the question anyway! sm6 )

Maybe... the limiter is in the Renix ignition unit...

It seems some cars have them, some don't - however assuming the B19 is like the B200 the rev limiter will be at 6250rpm so you may have just missed it!

Is the B19e on Renix? I thought it was LE and points... but then I've never played with one!

There is a list of which Renix's have limiters in the Renix numbers sticky.

No.. certainly not an 84/85 injected car, definitely Renix.

Not sure on the 83 GLTs.. I'd be very surprised if they ran points though!

Are you sure the year/engine is correct. 85 360s where B200s I thought. Anyway a B19E will have a limiter in the distributor arm I think. From memory it has a large oval shaped one with a weight in it that breaks the circuit at the peak revs, of course it is also likely it has been replaced with a later non-limiting standard arm.

No points, no limiter on it either that ever found - but then I never really revved the balls off it. No point, you get more power by changing up
