Andy P's 340 16v

Post by Andy P » 02 Jun 2009 11:25 am

Ok, here it is up for grabs!

Spec -

Engine-
1.8 16v F7P running fuel injection. Manifold modified to accept throttlebody to the opposite end (keeping the heater). Fuel system consisting of Facet red top lifter pump, stainless fuel swirl pot (made by me) and modified intank Walbro injection fuel pump to work inline. Advised by previous owner that it had covered 70k however was shown no proof of this. On inspection of the bottom end, the general running and lack of oil burn I've no reason to doubt this. Pulls very well to the limiter. 1.7 Rad fitted, performance red 8.5mm silicone ignition leads.

Transmission-
Brand new 1.7 clutch kit fitted. Original 1.4, 5 speed gearbox, open diff. Works faultlessly, smooth changes and no crunching with high speed/ high rev changes. Spare prop supplied.

Suspension-
Front suspension consists of refilled dampers (ep80/90) and cut down Rear MR2 springs. The underdamped feeling that I previously experianced has gone now that the dampers have bled properly as I was told they would.

Rear suspension consists of 2" lowering blocks and front landrover 90 dampers.

Wheels-
Weller steel wheels 13x7 painted satin black with gloss red rims. 175/70/13 tyres all with plenty of tread.

Exterior-
Mk1 Golf deep splitter. Side exit exhaust. Close to mint bodywork and paint. Satin black grille.

Interior-
Front subaru WRX bucket seats with red inserts, welded directly to Volvo seat runners. Sony cassette player with CD changer control (no cd changer), upgraded front speakers (unsure of brand), pioneer rear speakers in parcel shelf - sounds fantastic considering the 340 not having the best acoustic properties.

Misc-
6 months TAX
12 months MOT
LOTS of service history (I mean lots - even the reg of the car that the replacement door handle came from)
New 1.7 clutch cable
New mintex front brake pads
Several spare parts included
Has covered about 800 miles since the conversion.

I'm asking £1,500 for this which may be considered high however the condition is excellent.

Cheers Dan!

I'll defineatly miss it loads which is why I'd much rather it go to a good home (been trying to get my mates to buy it off me so its not too far from home!)

If the car is kept in the condition that its in, it will only appreciate in value!

Go on steve....go on ;)
