I'd like to own one...out of curiousity!

Some new pictures of the gleaming car might help - I'm guessing the original set weren't too flattering.

cheers

The 66 is a scream, especially good at winding up people that thinks it's slow! Clive :340:

Yet another 360 (GL) on good old ebay, gotta say that this one might not be as interesting as yours Clive!

Looking forward to the pics though..

James, Check these baby's out!

Image

It is my Volvo 66 1300 GLS and my Daf 66 Marathon 1300 Coupé (14.4E installed)
These baby's are far from slow. Especially the Coupé is pretty quick.
I am planning on installing a Gordini engine from a Renault 8 (Gordini R8 ) inthe Daf in the (pretty distant) future.
103BHP@5750RPM in a 900Kg Daf

The GLS (LHD) is for sale at the moment, as I am short of storage and cash due to our pregnancy

Nice!

I had the option to have a Daf 55 (air cooled flat twin?) - for free. The engine rebuild parts are supposedly unavailable, and it needed a lot of work, so I passed.

cheers

A Daf 55 has a 1100cc LC straight-4.
In Holland, Daf parts are very easy to come by.
We (Daf Club Nederland) have a huge warehouse in Eindhoven, full of parts for all models of Daf.
All sorts of parts including Bodypanels and complete engines are fabricated by the club to keep our beloved cars on the road.
Everybody employed at the warahouse is a volunteer and all profit made by the selling of parts goes directly back into making new parts. It is a great club!
Shipping parts to the UK will be pretty expensive, but picking parts up yourselve is not to expensive if you really like the cars.
If you want to go fast...? Mount a Renault 5 Turbo engine in the car and you have a real pocket rocket. 0-100km/h in under 7 seconds and a top speed ov over 200km/h
