Volvo 360 GLT Lowered & Stiffened Exeter £350

Post by EvilRacer329 » 01 May 2011 01:30 pm

Well, the time has come to move on to something new. Which means that my 1989 Volvo 360GLT has to go. It's been a fantastic track car, and further upgrades were planned but never came to fruition, so maybe someone else can take up the baton.

- 102,000 Miles
- B200E Fuel-injected 2.0
- Land Rover 90 shocks rear
- Classicswede shocks and 2" lowering springs front
- 2" lowering blocks not yet fitted, but included in the sale
- New Oil, filter, spark plugs just a couple thousand miles ago
- Cambelt changed at around 95,000 Miles
- Stripped interior - everything rear of the front seats has been stripped right back, although the rear bench seats are included in the sale
- Le Mans racing harnesses - passenger side only fitted so far, but both sets are included in sale
- Air box & ducting removed, replaced with induction kit
- Plenty of small dents, dings and scratches - not a show car!
- Handles very well for a swedish brick, held it's own on the track, even with the stock engine
- All four original Volvo alloys
- Front really need replacing after the last trackday, but the rears are fine
- No Tax or MOT, I let them both expire because I was planning an engine swap, but it passed with no advisories last time
- No real rust to speak of, and I don't think it's ever been welded - it's better underneath than it looks ;)

So yeah, it's a trailer-away job really (Exeter), but I know it'd go right back on the road if someone wanted to continue driving it as-is. It's not looker, but then I always liked the slightly beat-up sleeper look, great for embarrassing Halfords Hatchbacks!

I'm looking for £400 ono, if only to recoup the cost of the suspension upgrades. I'll also be putting a ready-to-go B230FT engine up for sale, the intended engine swap, and I'll happily sell both at once for the right price.

PM me or text 07910 289360 with any interested offers or questions!

Yeah, I know...but that requires driving it, which requires insurance, and getting one-day insurance on a modified vehicle is basically impossible ;)

Is there a garage near you? Might be worth just getting standard insurance in terms of risk as long as you drive sedately.

The other option of course is taking out a modified policy and then cancelling it within 14 days...
